Full-Context Reserve Audits
SEC-compliant reserve reports are designed to be as clear and accurate as possible, while allowing comparability between companies. However, such standardization and simplification can lead investors to miss out on key insights, distinctions, and other nuances. All reserves (even if compliant with SEC recognition) are not equal. DDI's Full-Context Reserve Audits are designed to ensure that company reserves are not inflated or obscured as a result of the SEC's broad-brush approach.
Reconstructed Reserve Models
Reserve reports reflect a static world, with fixed assumptions about oil prices, natural gas prices, operating expenses, and a host of other parameters. DDI's Reconstructed Reserve Models allow investors to make their own assumptions and perform their own sensitivity analysis using a reserve model reconstructed from and calibrated to a company's historical reserve reports, well data, and other information gathered about the company and its resources.
Deep Drill Valuations
DDI's Deep Drill Valuations provide investors with an in-depth valuation for E&P equity, debt, and royalty trusts, using detailed analysis and contextual awareness to factor in the risks and opportunities financial analysts and experts rarely even mention. Deep Drill Valuations include a Reconstructed Reserve Model in addition to the model used by DDI to reach its valuation.

Deep Spiral Monthly Newsletter
DDI's monthly newsletter, Deep Spiral, is specifically designed to merge the latest developments in the E&P sector with the big-picture ideas and fundamental principles that govern the E&P sector. There are many high-quality magazines and newsletters devoted to gathering and disseminating the latest news from the E&P sector. Rather than duplicate these efforts, Deep Spiral takes the latest news from these sources and puts them into a broader context of big-picture analysis and principles.
We have all heard the old saying that one "can't see the forest for the trees." What people don't often realize is that, in the metaphor, the abundance of trees is what causes the blindness (in this usage, "for" means "because of"). Similarly, a flood of news stories can blind us to the big picture. Deep Spiral shows how the forest and the trees are connected. How the individual trees are a manifestation of the forest, and how the forest (and its dynamics) are the product of a bunch of trees.
